Ritchie Blackmore, born in 1945 in the United Kingdom, is a renowned guitarist and songwriter. A founding member of the hard rock band Deep Purple, he contributed to iconic tracks like "Smoke on the Water". After leaving Deep Purple in 1975, he formed Rainbow, a band that blended hard rock with neoclassical elements, producing hits such as "Since You Been Gone". Since 1997, he has focused on folk rock with his project Blackmore’s Night, created alongside his wife Candice Night. Ritchie Blackmore has left an indelible mark on rock and folk music through his innovative guitar work and genre-spanning career.
