Rick Smith is a Welsh musician and composer born on May 25, 1959. He is a founding member of the British electronic band Underworld , which gained widespread recognition for its track "Born Slippy .NUXX" which gained cult popularity after appearing in the film "Trainspotting" . Rick Smith has collaborated extensively with director Дэнни Бойлом , notably as the musical director for the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony. In addition to his musical career, he is the co-founder of the art collective Tomato , which focuses on design and film. His contributions to electronic music have made him a key figure in the genre.
