Rick Parfitt , full name Richard John Parfitt , was a British rock musician born on October 12, 1948. He is best known as the lead singer, songwriter, and rhythm guitarist for the band Status Quo . The UK-based band became one of the most successful in the rock genre, releasing hits such as "Rockin' All Over the World" and "Whatever You Want" Rick Parfitt was known for his energetic guitar style and his contribution to the band's signature sound. His work left a significant mark on the history of rock music. The musician died on December 24, 2016.
