Rhett Akins is an American country singer and songwriter born on October 13, 1969. Hailing from the United States, he gained prominence in the 1990s. Signed to Decca Records between 1994 and 1997, he released two albums with the label, followed by the 1998 album What Livin's All About under MCA Nashville. In 2002, he released Friday Night in Dixie via Audium Entertainment. Over his career, he charted fourteen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs, including the 1996 number-one hit "Don't Get Me Started". Rhett Akins has made a lasting impact on the country music genre through his songwriting and performances.
