Rezident (real name Residente ) is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, songwriter, and director, born February 23, 1978. He rose to prominence as a founding member of the alternative rap group Calle 13 , with whom he released five albums. In 2015, Rezident launched his solo career, and his debut album was released in 2017. The artist has won four Grammy Awards and 28 Latin Grammy Awards , making him the most Latin American artist to win a single. In addition to music, he has produced documentaries such as Sin Mapa and Residente , and directed his own music videos.
