Redbone is an American rock band formed in 1969 in Los Angeles, California. Known for blending funk rock with elements of R&B, jazz, Latin influences, and Cajun music, the group was founded by brothers Pat and Lolly Vasquez, inspired by a suggestion from Jimi Hendrix to create the first "authentic Native American rock band." Their commercial success includes three hit singles: "Maggie", "The Witch Queen of New Orleans", and the iconic "Come and Get Your Love", which reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in 1974. Redbone remains a significant contributor to the fusion of rock and indigenous cultural elements.
