Рашид Бейбутов (full name: Рашид Меджид оглы Бейбутов ) was a Soviet and Azerbaijani pop and opera singer, born on December 14, 1915, in Georgia. He was known for his unique voice and performances on both stage and opera. Бейбутов also distinguished himself as an actor, appearing in several films. In addition to his artistic career, he was actively involved in public life, being elected as a deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan SSR and the Council of Nationalities of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR from the 7th to the 11th convocations. His contribution to the development of pop music and culture in Azerbaijan remains significant. Бейбутов died on June 9, 1989.
