Rainbow is a British-American rock band formed in 1975 by guitarist Ричи Блэкмором and members of the band Elf , including vocalist Ронни Джеймса Дио . The band became one of the key figures in the development of hard rock and heavy metal. Among their best-known albums are "Rising" (1976) and "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll" (1978). Hits such as "Stargazer" and "Since You Been Gone" have become classics of the genre. In 2020, Classic Rock magazine included the band in its list of the "50 Greatest Rock Bands of All Time." Rainbow has had a significant influence on the development of rock music.
