Pulp is a British rock band formed in Sheffield, United Kingdom, in 1978 by Jarvis Cocker. Known for their contributions to the Britpop movement, the band struggled for recognition during the 1980s but rose to prominence in the mid-1990s. Their breakthrough came with the albums "His 'n' Hers" and the chart-topping "Different Class". The latter included iconic singles like "Common People" and "Sorted for E’s & Wizz", both of which reached number two on the UK charts. Pulp disbanded in 2002 but left a lasting impact on British rock and the Britpop genre.
