Protest The Hero is a progressive metal band from Ontario, Canada, formed in 1999 when its members were just 14 years old. Originally named Happy Go Lucky, the group rebranded to Protest The Hero in 2002. Their debut EP, Search of the Truth, marked their early steps in the music scene. In 2005, they signed with Vagrant Records to release their album Kezia in the United States. Known for their intricate compositions and technical prowess, the band has made a significant impact on the progressive metal genre.
