Потап (real name Алексей Андреевич Потапенко ) is a Ukrainian singer, producer, and songwriter, born in Kyiv in 1981. He works in the genre of Russian pop music. Потап rose to fame as a member of the duo Потап и Настя , which released such hits as "Чумачечая весна" and "На районе" . He also founded the production center MOZGI Entertainment , which supports young artists. Потап has made a significant contribution to the development of contemporary pop music in the Russian-speaking world, combining humor and catchy melodies in his works.
