PMD , real name Parrish Joseff Smith , is an American rapper and record producer, born May 13, 1968. He is best known as a member of the legendary hardcore rap group EPMD , which had a significant influence on the development of hip-hop in the 1980s and 1990s. PMD was also part of the hip-hop supergroup Hit Squad .
