Phil Coulter is an Irish musician, songwriter, and record producer from Derry, Northern Ireland, born February 19, 1942. His work spans the genres of world classical and new age. Coulter has 23 platinum, 39 gold, and 52 silver discs. His accolades include two Eurovision Grand Prix awards, five Ivor Novello Awards, including Songwriter of the Year, and a Grammy nomination. In 2009, he was awarded the British Academy of Songwriters' Gold Badge. His contribution to the music industry has made him one of Ireland's most respected composers.
