Peter Schilling (real name Пьер Михаэль Шиллинг ) is a German musician born in 1956. He is known for his compositions with sci-fi themes in the pop and electronic genres. His album Error in the System includes the international hit single " Major Tom ," a loose interpretation of the plot of Дэвида Боуи song " Space Oddity ." The song was recorded in German, but its English version also gained popularity. In 1984 and 1985, he released the albums 120 Grad and its English version Things to Come . Peter Schilling made a significant contribution to the development of electronic pop music.
