Per Gessle is a Swedish musician, multi-instrumentalist, and composer born in 1959. He is a founding member of the band Gyllene Tider (1979) and the duo Roxette (1986), which brought him worldwide fame. With Roxette he created such hits as "It Must Have Been Love" and "Listen to Your Heart" He also worked on projects such as Mono Mind and others. The author of over 1,000 songs, he is also known as a producer and soundtrack creator. His contributions to pop music and songwriting have made him a key figure in the Swedish music scene.
