Paul Davis (born April 21, 1948, USA) was an American singer and songwriter who worked in the pop, R&B, and country genres. His career began in 1970 and spanned several decades. Among his best-known hits are "I Go Crazy" (1977), which reached number 7 on Billboard Hot 100 , and "Love or Let Me Be Lonely" (1982), which reached number 6. In 1981, he released another popular single, "Cool Night" . In the mid-1980s, Paul Davis also achieved success in country music, scoring two number 1 hits with Marie Osmond and Tanya Tucker . His work has left a noticeable mark on American popular music.
