She began her musical career in 1958 as part of the group The Ordettes, which later evolved into The Bluebelles in 1961. Known as the "Queen of Rock and Soul," she gained widespread fame with hits like "Lady Marmalade", "When You Talk About Love", and "New Attitude". Her powerful voice and dynamic performances have left a lasting impact on the R&B and pop genres.
