
Northside is an English alternative rock band from Blackley and Moston, North Manchester, formed in 1989. The band became part of the 1990s Madchester scene, which incorporated elements of indie rock and rave. In 1991, they released their only album, Chicken Rhythms on the legendary Factory Records label. The album featured tracks like "Shall We Take a Trip" and "Take 5" which gained acclaim in the British indie scene. Despite their short career, Northside left their mark on the genre, becoming part of the unique sound of the Madchester era.
