Николай Караченцов (1944–2018) was a Soviet and Russian actor and performer born in the USSR. He became known for his roles in theater and film, as well as his performances in Russian pop and variety music. Караченцов was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR and a laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation. His musical career included performances of songs that became popular during the Soviet era. Караченцов was also an academician of the Russian Academy of Cinematographic Arts "Nika." His contribution to Russian pop and culture remains significant and memorable.
