Nicky Byrne is an Irish singer and entertainer, born in 1978. He is best known as a member of the pop group Westlife , one of the most successful boy bands in history. Before his music career, he was a professional footballer. In 2016, Nicky Byrne represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm with the song "Sunlight" but failed to reach the final. His contributions to pop music include co-writing numerous Westlife hits, which remain popular today.
