Myrkskog is a Norwegian black death metal band formed in 1993. The band gained attention in the underground scene with their 1998 demo, Apocalyptic Psychotica - The Murder Tape ," which led to a contract with Candlelight Records . In 2000, the band released their debut album, Deathmachine ," which received positive reviews from fans of the genre. The success of the debut led to the release of their second album, Superior Massacre ." Myrkskog contributed to the development of extreme metal while remaining a significant part of the Norwegian scene.
