Munky , real name James Shaffer , born June 6, 1970, in the United States, is the rhythm guitarist for the alternative metal band Korn . In addition to his primary role in Korn , he also performs lead guitar for the project Fear and the Nervous System . Since 2005, Munky has performed some of the lead guitar parts for Korn and also provides backing vocals live. His contributions to the development of alternative metal have made him one of the genre's key figures.
