Municipal Waste is a crossover thrash band from Richmond, Virginia, formed in 2001. Known for their high-energy performances and humorous lyrics, the band has been a staple in the thrash metal scene. They performed at the Download Festival in the UK in June 2008 on the Tuborg stage. Additionally, they joined At the Gates on their Suicidal Final Tour, sharing the stage with Darkest Hour, Toxic Holocaust, and Repulsion. Municipal Waste has contributed significantly to the revival of crossover thrash, blending punk and metal influences with a modern twist.
