Monsta X is a South Korean hip-hop boy band formed in 2015 by Starship Entertainment through the survival show NO.MERCY . The group consists of six members: Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and IM . A former member is Wonho. They officially debuted on May 14, 2015, with the EP Trespass . In 2023, the group's first subunit, Shownu X Hyungwon , featuring Shownu and Hyungwon, debuted. Monsta X is known for their energetic performances and their contribution to the popularization K-pop internationally.
