Mohombi (full name Мохомби Нсаси Моупондо ) is a Swedish-Congolese singer, songwriter, and dancer, born on August 28, 1986. He grew up in the Chista district of Stockholm, Sweden. From 2004 to 2008, Mohombi was a member of the Swedish hip hop group Avalon , formed with his brother, Dho Moupondo. In 2010, he signed with producer RedOne and the label 2101 Records , part of Universal Music Group . His debut single "Bumpy Ride" became a hit, reaching the top 10 in many European countries. Mohombi has made a significant contribution to the popularization of dance-pop music.
