
Mistinguett (real name Jeanne-Florentine Bourgeois) was a French singer, actress, and entertainer, born April 5, 1875, in Enghien-les-Bains, France. She became one of the most famous artists of the French stage of the early 20th century, performing in such renowned cabarets as Moulin Rouge and Folies Bergère . Among her most famous songs is "Mon homme" which achieved international popularity. Mistinguett also appeared in films and was known for her flamboyant stage presence. Her contribution to the development of French stage music remains significant to this day.
