Minipop is an American band from Oakland, California, formed in 2004. The band works in the genres of indie, dream pop, and alternative rock. Minipop first gained recognition after the release of their debut album "Precious EP" in 2006. In 2007, the band signed with Take Root Records and released the album "A New Hope" which was released on November 7. The song "Like I Do" became a hit, received positive reviews from critics, and was released as a single.
