Mick Jones (full name: Michael Leslie Jones) is a British guitarist, songwriter, and producer, born December 27, 1944. He is best known as a founder and member of the rock band Foreigner . Before forming Foreigner , he played in the band Spooky Tooth . With Foreigner , he released such hits as "I Want to Know What Love Is" and "Cold as Ice" . Mick Jones has also worked as a producer for other notable artists, including Van Halen . His contributions to the development of rock music have made him one of the genre's key figures.
