He rose to prominence as a member of The Kelly Family , which sold over 20 million records in the 1990s, becoming one of the most successful pop and folk groups in Europe. In 2003, Michael Patrick Kelly released his solo album "In Exile" , after which he retired to a monastery in France for six years. Returning in 2011, he continued his solo career, releasing several successful albums. His work has made a significant contribution to the development of pop music.
