Michael Cretu is a Romanian-born German musician and record producer. He is best known as the founder and mastermind of the Enigma project, which became a cult classic in the new age genre. Enigma debut album, "MCMXC aD" , released in 1990, featured the hit "Sadeness (Part I)" , which topped the charts in several countries. Cretu has also collaborated with various artists and produced numerous successful records. His contribution to the development of new age music has made the genre more accessible to a wider audience.
