Mercan Dede (also known as Меркан Деде ) is a Turkish-Canadian composer born in 1966. He is known for his unique style, which combines traditional Turkish music with elements of electronica and house. Mercan Dede plays instruments such as the ney and bendir and also works as a DJ and producer.
