MC Lyte, born Лана Мишель Мурер on October 11, 1970, is an American rapper from the United States. She gained prominence in the late 1980s as the first woman to release a full-length solo rap album, titled Lyte as a Rock. Known for her sharp lyricism and groundbreaking presence in a male-dominated genre, MC Lyte has influenced generations of artists. Her hits include "Paper Thin" and "Ruffneck", the latter earning her a Grammy nomination.
