
Marshall Crenshaw is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and guitarist born in 1953. Known for his blend of rock and pop, his music draws inspiration from classic soul and artists like Buddy Holly. He gained prominence with hits such as "Someday, Someway", which reached the U.S. Top 40 in 1982, as well as "Cynical Girl" and "Whenever You're on My Mind". Crenshaw co-wrote the 1990s radio hit "Til I Hear It from You" by Gin Blossoms. He also portrayed Buddy Holly in the 1987 film "La Bamba". His work has left a lasting mark on rock and pop music.
