Marcin Wasilewski is a Polish pianist and composer born in 1975. He is best known as a member of Simple Acoustic Trio , formed in the early 1990s with bassist Sławomor Kurkiewicz and drummer Michał Miskiewicz. The group received recognition for its jazz interpretations and original compositions. Marcin Wasilewski has also collaborated with such prominent musicians as Tomasz Stańko and released several albums on the ECM Records label. His work has made a significant contribution to the development of contemporary European jazz.
