Mance Lipscomb, born Beau De Glen Lipscomb, was an American blues musician from Navasota, Texas. Known for his unique fingerpicking guitar style, he was a key figure in the Texas blues tradition. His career gained recognition in the 1960s during the folk and blues revival, with his debut album released under Arhoolie Records. Some of his notable songs include "Sugar Babe" and "Shake, Shake Mama". Mance Lipscomb contributed significantly to preserving traditional blues and influencing future generations of musicians with his storytelling and authentic sound.
