
Людмила Гурченко (Lyudmila Markovna Gurchenkova) was a Soviet and Russian actress, pop singer, composer, and director. She was born on November 12, 1935, in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Her career spanned over half a century, and she became one of the most outstanding actresses and singers of her time. Гурченко was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR, as well as the Vasilyev Brothers State Prize of the RSFSR and the State Prize of the Russian Federation. Among her famous songs is "Five Minutes" from the film "Carnival Night." Her contribution to Russian pop and cinema remains unrivaled. Людмила Гурченко died on March 30, 2011.
