Lyle Mays was an American jazz pianist and composer born on November 27, 1953, in the United States. He is best known as a member of the Pat Metheny Group , where, along with Pat Metheny he composed and arranged nearly all of the group's music. During his career, Lyle Mays received eleven "Грэмми" Awards, recognizing his contribution to the development of jazz music. His virtuoso piano playing and unique approach to composition made him a key figure in the genre. Lyle Mays passed away on February 10, 2020, leaving behind a significant legacy in jazz.
