Louise Burns is a Canadian singer-songwriter born on November 14, 1985. Originally from Canada, she is known for her work in the electronic, alternative, and pop genres. A former member of the band Lillix, she launched her solo career with the debut album Mellow Drama, released on April 5, 2011, under Light Organ Records. The album earned critical acclaim and was nominated for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize. In addition to her solo work, she is a member of the band Gold & Youth. Louise Burns continues to contribute to the evolution of alternative and electronic pop music.
