Local H is an American alternative rock band formed in 1987 in Zion, Illinois. The group was founded by guitarist and vocalist Scott Lucas, bassist Matt Garcia, drummer Joe Daniels, and lead guitarist John Sparkman, who met in high school. Known for their stripped-down two-piece setup after the departure of early members, Local H gained prominence with their 1996 hit "Bound for the Floor" from the album "As Good as Dead." Their blend of grunge and alternative rock has earned them a dedicated following and a lasting influence on the genre.
