Lime is a Canadian post-disco group founded in 1981. They rose to prominence in 1983 and became one of the forerunners of the Eurodance genre, alongside European acts such as Eurythmics , Fancy , and Secret Service . Their music combined elements of electronica and soul, making them popular on dance floors in the 1980s. Lime made a significant contribution to the development of post-disco and Eurodance, influencing subsequent generations of artists in these genres.
