
Lhasa de Sela (1972–2010) was an American singer and songwriter known for her unique style, which combined elements of folk, jazz, and traditional music. Born to Mexican parents, she performed in three languages: Spanish, English, and French. Her debut album "La Llorona" (1997), received critical acclaim and brought her international fame. Among her other works, notable are "The Living Road" (2003) and "Lhasa" (2009). Lhasa made a significant contribution to the development of world music, leaving a distinctive mark on musical culture.
