Леопольд Стоковский (full name: Антоний Станислав Болеславович Стоковский ) was a British and American conductor, born in 1882 in London. He became known for his work with Филадельфийским оркестром , which he led from 1912 to 1938. Стоковский became famous for his interpretations of classical music, as well as his collaboration with Уолтом Диснеем on the film "Фантазия" (1940). His repertoire encompassed both traditional works and modern compositions. Стоковский made a significant contribution to the popularization of classical music through his experimentation with orchestral arrangements and sound recording.
