Leon Ware (1940–2017) was an American songwriter, producer, composer, and singer, originally from the United States. Working in the soul, R&B, and disco genres, he left a significant mark on the music industry. In addition to his solo career, Leon Ware became known as a hit producer for artists such as Michael Jackson , Quincy Jones , Maxwell , Minnie Riperton , and Marvin Gaye . He co-produced Marvin Gaye iconic album " I Want You ." His contributions to the development of soul and R&B continue to inspire musicians around the world.
