Leland (real name Brett McLaughlin) is an American singer and songwriter born in 1991 and based in Los Angeles, USA. Working in the electronic and hip-hop genres, he has collaborated with artists such as Selena Gomez , Troye Sivan , Daya , Andy Grammer , and Kelsea Ballerini . In 2017, he signed a contract with Vertigo Berlin/Universal Music Germany and is published by Sony/ATV Music Publishing . Since that same year, he has become a regular songwriter and producer on RuPaul's Drag Race . A graduate of the Belmont University School of Music, McLaughlin actively influences contemporary pop music and culture.
