Leftfield is an electronic music duo from London, England, formed in the late 1980s. Known for pioneering the progressive house genre, the group originally consisted of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley. Their debut album, "Leftism" (1995), is widely regarded as a landmark in electronic music, featuring tracks like "Open Up" with John Lydon. They followed up with "Rhythm and Stealth" (1999), which included the hit single "Phat Planet", famously used in a Guinness commercial. After a hiatus, Leftfield returned with new music and live performances, continuing to influence the electronic music scene with their innovative sound.
