Ласковый май is a Soviet and Russian pop group founded on December 6, 1986. The group was formed by children from the Orenburg Orphanage who, after meeting producer Андреем Разиным moved to Moscow. The group became famous thanks to the song "Белые розы" performed by Юрием Шатуновым , who later launched a successful solo career. Ласковый май had a significant influence on the development of pop music in the USSR, becoming a symbol of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
