
Larry Williams (real name Lawrence Eugene Williams ) was an American musician, singer, pianist, songwriter, and arranger born in 1935. A rhythm and blues and rock and roll artist, he achieved success between 1957 and 1959 with recordings for Specialty Records . His hits included "Bony Moronie" "Short Fat Fannie" "Dizzy Miss Lizzie" and "Bad Boy" These songs later became part of the repertoire of British Invasion bands, including The Beatles . John Lennon was a great admirer of his work. The composition "Bony Moronie" is included in the list of "500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll."
