Larry Lurex was a short-lived project by Freddie Mercury, born Фаррух Булсара in 1946 in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Known primarily as the legendary frontman of Queen, Mercury briefly adopted the pseudonym Larry Lurex in 1973 for a solo experiment. The project, under the guidance of producer Robin Geoffrey Cable, resulted in the release of two tracks: a cover of "I Can Hear Music" and "Goin' Back". Though not commercially successful, it showcased Mercury's vocal prowess and hinted at his future iconic status. Larry Lurex remains a curious footnote in the history of rock music, reflecting Mercury's early artistic explorations.
