Lalo Schifrin (full name: Борис Клаудио Шифрин ) is an Argentine-born American jazz pianist and composer, born in 1932. He is known for composing scores for numerous films, including the iconic theme to the television series "Mission: Impossible" Schifrin also arranged many famous jazz works and collaborated with artists such as Dizzy Gillespie . For his contributions to film, he was awarded an Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement. His contributions to jazz and film music made him one of the most respected composers of his time.
