Laleh (real name Laleh Pourkarim ) is a Swedish singer, musician, actress, composer, and songwriter of Iranian descent, born on June 10, 1982. She works in the pop and indie genres. In 2005, Laleh debuted with the album "Laleh" which reached number one in Sweden and became the best-selling album of the year. At the 2005 Swedish Грэмми Awards, she was nominated for seven awards and won Rockbjörnen in the categories of Artist of the Year, Discovery of the Year, and Producer of the Year. Laleh has made a significant contribution to the development of Swedish pop music.
